Water is important, but some find it hard to switch from sugary drinks. We may not need to drink 8 glasses a day according to The Times, but if you’re looking for a way to drink more, you’ll want to try infused water. Use these super easy recipes to keep you hydrated, awake and looking good:
Strawberry Flavored Water
- 4-6 strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1/2 lemon, sliced
- Small handful of basil, scrunched
- Ice and cold filtered water
Energy-Boosting Berry Peach Coconut Water
- 1 cup organic blueberries
- 1 cup organic blackberries
- 2 doughnut peaches— pitted and cut into ½ inch wedges
- 6 cups (48 ounces) spring or filtered water
- 2 cups unsweetened organic coconut water (click here to see the coconut recipe)
- 1-2 drops wild orange essential oil-optional
- 1 gallon clean glass jar with lid
*This recipe uses coconut water, which can add some extra nutrients, but you can switch that out for plain agua*
Blueberry Lavender Water
- 1/2 pint Blueberries
- Edible Flowers (use Lavender Flowers) – to taste
- 64 ounces Water
Directions
- Add Fruits and edible flowers to a pitcher of water.
- Cover, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Strain, then add ice and pour into tall glasses and serve.
