The Herbivorous Butcher: The Nation’s First Vegan Butcher Shop

The name of their shop sounds a bit contradictory, but it’s 2016 and even the craziest ideas are becoming the norm.

Siblings Aubry and Kale Walch– vegans and foodies– are the masterminds behind The Herbivorous Butcher. Their shop in Minneapolis will celebrate its Grand Opening on January 23 and will offer customers over 40 different vegan meats and cheeses. But, if you don’t live in or near Minneapolis, fear not! The Herbivorous Butcher will begin shipping services in February!

Their vegan meats include: Teriyaki Jerkey, Filet Mignon, Korean Ribs and Maple Glazed Bacon, while the vegan cheeses range from Mozzarella to Cheddar to Muenster.

Their goal: produce plant-based alternatives that not only taste delicious, but leave customers satisfied and full. Rich in proteins and B-vitamins, these products are meant to keep people energized, without harming any lives.

“Together we can all change the world one meal at a time,” the Herbivorous Butcher’s website states.

Ahh…What a time to be vegan!
