Odochi Ibe, iEG Social Media Coordinator
Taking care of yourself is important. Remember it’s not just about your body, but your mind too. Everyday there are stressors, via the news, work, and people around us, that can take a toll on our mental well-being.
Eating and drinking right can help with more than just your diet.
Stay Hydrated: Drinking water can stave off fatigue, eliminate headaches and reduce depression. Instead of picking up sugary drinks, reach for some H20!
Eat Your Greens: Dark leafy greens such as spinach, broccoli and mustard greens contain selenium, a mineral found in soil. Studies have shown it boosts your immune system, and lowers depression and anxiety.
Complex Carbs: Carbs are a feel good food, as long as you’re eating the right ones. Eating grains such as bulgar, wild rice or beans can give you a steady boost of happiness.
